Biography

Walter Chapman is a member of the National Retail group of Marcus & Millichap and works with Vice President of Investments Russell Malayery. Walter specializes in the sale of single tenant retail investments nationwide.

Before joining Marcus and Millichap, Walter practiced as an attorney and ran The Chapman Firm. Walter managed the legal affairs of homeowners and condominium owners associations. He provided counsel to associations regarding declarations and code compliance, cost-effective strategies for collection, and the resolution of disputes with third parties. He also conducted negotiations regarding contracts, business, and legal disputes and represented associations in mediation and court disputes with residents and third parties.

In his free time, Walter is involved in a number of causes. He is a volunteer with the Atlanta Beltline, sits on the Board of Directors of the Haitian Alliance, Inc., is a past president and member of the South Fulton Running Partners, leads the Downtown Atlanta French Language Meetup, and belongs to the Atlanta chapters of the Morehouse College Alumni and Harvard Club of Georgia.
